Saxophonist and Cummington resident Mike Kolodny presents a solo sax show. You'll hear a range of jazz styles and song forms, as well as covers of classic soul and r and b that are fun to blow over: a show that offers something for everyone! ('Blow' means 'improv'; creative spontaneous composition - in jazz slang.) Mike has played at Carnegie Hall and the Blue Note in his native NYC, and performed with jazz legends Jimmy Cobb, Avery Sharpe and others. (Just some reassuring history as to his abilities.) He is jazz sax instructor at Williams College.
